Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Almanac. This page will grow — starting with privacy, since that's the one people ask about first.

I Privacy

  • What do you track?

Your account — name and email, from Google sign-in or the email you registered with. Your situations — the text you submit, and the mental-model evaluation it produces (which models applied, and why). Usage metadata — which AI model handled a request, how many tokens it used and how long it took. This is used for the daily-limit check and admin reporting, and never includes the text of your situation.

  • Who can see my situations?

Other users — never. Every situation and its results are private to your account; there's no sharing or public listing. Admins can see how many evaluations an account has run and how much it has used, for the usage dashboard — the admin screens never display the text of your situations. The AI that evaluates your situation runs on our own internal AI gateway, never a public/third-party AI service.

  • Is there a catch?

One honest caveat: situation text is stored as ordinary data in our database, not separately encrypted. The app itself never shows it to anyone but you — but whoever has direct access to the database could, in principle, read it. We don't treat that lightly, which is why deletion (below) is real and permanent.

  • Can I delete a situation?

Yes — forever. Open any situation, or your history list, and choose Delete/Delete forever. This permanently removes the situation text and its evaluation results from the database. It is not a soft delete and cannot be undone or recovered by us afterwards.
